    Dry Fire aids

Title pretty much sums it up.

Apps or other modern twist to improve a persons pistol shooting what is good, and what is not good.

Waaaay back in the day, drill sergeants used a dime. It worked like a hundred bucks or more and only cost a dime.

Talking about the front sight balance or something else?
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

That's what I was referring to. Balancing a dime on the barrel just forward of the front sight. Drill sergeants had us all doing that in the prone unsupported position endlessly in gravel while screaming at us that American soldiers always performed best in the most uncomfortable conditions. It sucked.

I should try the mantis. I have one of the laserlyte targets that seems to work pretty good. No complaints.

I like the laser ammo brand. Recoil enabled using air soft guns.

    Good memories, Lobo! Good times.

I've been incorporating a shot timer, and following very specific routines. For example, Ben Stoeger's method is simple=at the beep, press QUICK! If that dot moves, work on eliminating that. After a while, it helps alot.

JCN on PF came up with a drill called SWYNTS, it's actually quite helpful.

Link to the thread where we're participating, he explains it:

    https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?55365-See-what-you-need-to-see-training

It IS a live fire drill, but the concept was that we do it, then do it regularly as a dryfire drill, using the par times, for a week or so, then get back out and do it live.

All of us participating showed improvement.

Using the timer with dryfire is a good evolution for me.

ETA: damn these infernal devices, I can't make the link hot! HA!

My buddy has a system for ARs. It replaced the BCG and the magazine is the battery. When you pull the yrigger a laser is shot out the barrel and the BCG mechanism resets the hammer. It's pretty awesome. I'm try and find out what the system is.
