No, we picked the right side. Israel has been and continues to be a strong ally. They have often supported us when no other country would and have provided us with intelligence when no other country could. In the Arab Israeli conflict, one side has the moral high ground and one side does not.

But what started out as a strategy during the cold war, is still in place. The dumbest thing Israel ever did was the Camp David accords with Egypt. But who knew the USSR was going to disappear. Egypt with out the USSR could not fight a war with Israel. The aid to Egypt today just keeps the military in power, they are not popular with the people of Egypt
