I like this idea, a 6.5 Grendel or 6mm ARC with a 18 inch barrel.

In general, this is where I’m headed for my next accurate build as my JP 18 inch ages.

Rifles are best when they have an activity or purpose. Find a local match and then build a rifle for it. That is how you get the most out of a rifle.

I'm actually thinking on the 6ARC, maybe 20". Just have to decide on the barrel and whether or not to reload another caliber. OP, not sure what configurations you have in 20" but an idea for you with the 6ARC

A 16" Midlength with a Razor 1-10 would cover a lot of ground if you wanted something semi precision oriented.

You could go in the opposite direction and build out a modern version of a Colt Car-15 N-23 but chambered in .300BLK

(I've not attempted to build one yet, but the temptation is certainly there).

Sounds like you may have some time on your hands, though it's been a couple weeks and they do amazing things.

I know a few people with the mesh, but no problems that I'm aware of as of yet.
