BCM 13” rail with 13.9” barrel?

    Hey guys,

Does anyone know definitively if a BCM MCMR 13” will clear a Sandman on a 13.9” (Criterion) barrel?

I know a 13” theoretically would, but the BCM has those ears that extend to about 13.4” at the 9 and 3 o’clock.

If no, any recommendations on a 13” mlok rail with slots all the way around? URX4?

    Thanks!

It should work just fine for you with maybe a small gap in between the rail and the can. Also remember you will have to use shims to time you muzzle device and that will take up some space. I just went through the same thing with a 13.7 barrel and 13 inch rail, ended up using a thread spacer and two shims to time.

Do you have at least a quarter inch of room?

It doesn't work. Tried it with my sandman K. Had to use way too many shims for it to work.

I'd wait for the LDR1 rail from Ripcord Industries to release. It's a fantastic rail. It was designed specifically to have a minimal gap with the 13.9 barrels. I'm running the prototype on one of my 11.5's.

    Yeah that’s what I figured.

The LDR1 will be great I’m sure, but I’m not going to bank on being able to actually secure one.

I ordered a SLR ION Lite 13.1 yesterday.

I know that you already ordered a new rail, but if you really wanted to use the MCMR you could have cut the flared ends off
