1969 East German AKM Built by Two Rivers Arms

I sent this parts kit to Two Rivers Arms and they send back a 1969 East German AKM. 922(r) parts are a US barrel chrome lined barrel, 74ULLC receiver with matching serial number, Tapco G2 trigger group and a US slant brake. I was able to buy the new old stock stock set back when they were very inexpensive. People didn't want them because they look toyish and East German parts kits were not in the country yet. The blued finish looks great. I can't wait to shoot it.

Here are a few real world action shots.

    Very cool.

Add; LAV just did a vid on his recently (?) acquired E. German AK.
The high speed shots shows the insane amount of flex the carbine undergoes during firing.

A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.

I have no real use for an AK but always thought the Commie Kraut ones were cool.

    Still you forgot a picture

Excellent! East Germany got me interested in AKs, so a MPi-KM kit build was my first AK.

Nice. Here's my Hershey bar AK.

Started with a Draco since Romie's and E. Germans are very close then added E. German furniture and folding stock.

It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

What’s Tucker Carlson doing holding that AK?

It’s from his time in Iraq writing an article for GQ? I think during early days of the war. He explains how he came to be in possession of the AK in the article if I remember correctly. If someone has a link I’d be interested in reading it again.

    -OP very nice shooter!
