    drill holes for Optic mount

I would like to get my Legion 226 Optics ready slide tapped so I can run an SRO vs the Romeo1 it came with. I found Vulcan Machine Werks but they are charging me the same to drill 2 holes as when they have to cut the slide down ( mine is already cut) and they ad iron sights. $145

    Anyone use Vulcan?

Anyone else do it? The guy at L&M precision did it to my X5 for a fraction but after covid he is closing up shop. I don't mind the Romeo but mine was not reliable, Sig is sending a replacement as we speak.

I had CHPWS do this and it turned into a disaster. I am also looking for a shop to drill RMR holes into a Romeo1 Sig slide.

I had a friend send in his Stacatto that got the slide milled, placed a rear sight on, did cuts...and was very happy. From my pricey group. We will see.

Not favorable reviews scares me. eff that.

I had him do my 226 rx. He did a good job but it was a looooong turn around. I was quoted 6 to 8 weeks and it took at least 12.

I will also add, I just purchased a used p229 legion slide (for your old p229 pappa) that had the slide milled for an rmr. They did nice work and machined the recoil bosses. He also had the cerekote it in legion gray and had them laser engrave the legion logo on the front hood of the slide. They also installed his buis. He said he paid 200 for all of that.

I have heard good things about Vulcan, I only became aware of them when I learned a good sized agency authorizes them to mill their officers' issued slides for RMR.
