You’re not wrong, FPFS. it’s just always hard when you’re switched on and operate at a much higher level than most of humanity. At least stuff like that is a good thought exercise in making decisions on the fly with the information govern.

Like when Lance entered the grocery store - how he should have swept the store first and secured exits. Or how when he should’ve done the same thing at the firehouse, then been able to establish a base and set up a mobile rig with that baller F250. Loot baby, loot!

For shits and giggles I just started Z Nation because, well, I’ve had enough seriousness (and I’m getting paid to watch it at work.). Gotta let go sometimes and enjoy the simple things.

    Two episodes in...

Not bad, but all these shows rely on one continuous trope; no one is prepared, everyone is a pu$$Y and no one has guns.

Basically anyone on this forum would be a war lord with a harem 40 chicks deep within a week in one of these towns.

So I started watching it and realized I already watched it two years ago. The Uzis, M4s and MP5s with unlimited video game magazines were a bit much.

The last episode was pretty realistic, a bunch of untrained dumbasses with select fire weapons creating as many zombies as they kill by not respecting background. Everyone on full auto zapping as many friendlies as anything else.

Someone suggested the series "Kingdom" and I watched the first two seasons of that and it was really good. Zombie movie set in 900's in South Korea. It is current with season 3 coming. I recommend it to anyone that likes zombie flicks.

I know I've already said this, but that is 99% of the general public, including gun owners and many M4C members. We have dudes here afraid to shoulder a pistol brace in their living room and every time gun control is proposed there are threads with guys basically looking for a place to turn them in before they're illegal. I'm afraid a mass panic world wide scenario would play out more like Black Summer than we'd like to believe.

Hmm... sounds like a helluva plot for a 'harem'/ "isekai" anime...
Take the usual "shy loner" protagonist trope, but turn it on it's head as the guy is actually a secret badass with a basement full of guns and food. Kinda John Wick with the gun safe under the concrete slab, or John Malkovich from RED with the bunker under a rusted car in his back yard... Then the zombie apocalypse happens and he finds himself the only survivor in the town... In sort of an "I am Legend" fashion he sets about clearing the town of zombies and collecting what resources are left. As he goes about the task, he starts finding several survivors, who all just so conveniently happen for no apparent reason, to be hot, big tittied- *ahem* I mean, wonderful wholesome anime wimmin who just want to hold hands. As always, the girls fit the "usual tropes" of harem chicks in these sort of genres, and the fun is afoot as they all try to marry him-*cough* I mean, survive the zombie apocalypse together.
Along the way the show subverts the usual expectations of both genres by taking some well needed and humorous self-aware pot shots at it all.
Yeah... it would be a winner.

So it's an interesting twist on the genre. But if you don't have Netflix I wouldn't buy Netflix just for this show. Honestly in the last year I've been this close to dumping Netflix. At first it was all A list content and I struggled to watch everything on my list. These days it's 50% cartoons, 20% bollywood and 20% woke propaganda programming. Fewer and fewer movies I want to see, only a handful of ones I've never seen and lots of really bad ones I wish I hadn't seen.

I actually find myself finding better content on tubi even with the stupid 5 minutes of advertising. I just bathroom break or grab a drink then back up to what I missed while I was gone.
