Them’s fighting words! 1984 was awesome. I wore that tape out on my Walkman over a summer in 1989.

Obviously the best was Van Halen II. But my personal was 1984

Who you got on lead guitar? Alex Lifeson's unemployed at the moment...

1984 rocked the casbah. Walk on with that noise.

Yeah, yeah. I guess I hold a grudge against 1984. I really didn't like Jump. Some of the other tracks rocked. I just kinda unfairly group it with tha Van Hagar albums.

The first 5 LPs were something else. Hell, I even like WCF and DD better than 84. Probably just me.

Did people start drinking early tonight?
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

Jump and Panama were the ones I wore out the hardest. VH died with Hagar. That "I can't drive 55" nonsense was what I hated.

?? I can't drive 55 was Hagar pre-VH by quite a few years. I like Hagar as Hagar.. but not VanHagar.

Anything “VanHagar” is tolerable compared to Gary Charone and VH5 era. Oh what a travesty!

This ruling has to be driving the left nuts. It reads very plainly, and is easily understandable. I’m about 20 pages in, where it cover scrutiny level, and from what I understand, that is crux of the legal fight. Strict scrutiny gets us what we want, intermediate scrutiny lets the govt dictate what rights we get left with. From what I understand, some members are said outright that lower courts are incorrectly applying intermediate scrutiny as a way to effectively ignore Heller and McDonald.

Maryland (?) is the case that I seem to remember intermediate scrutiny being the issue?

We need this case to go to the 9th, hopefully get a good pull of judges for a 3-0 or 2-1 decision, just to make it look more legit. It will go en blanc and get denied, but it sets up chance for SCOTUS to take it and at the very least set the scrutiny level correctly- and hopefully even more explicitly not just strike down the current bans, but codify the right.

If they just strike down the current bans, we’ll end up with $100 yearly registrations and all kinds of other BS.
