I should probably explain that the point of the post was to let you know that .22lr QD both exists, and works. I liked the pistol can version enough that I snagged the .22lr model as soon as I found out.

I guess weighing it before loctiting would have been cool. All I got for that is that it is built pretty cleverly without a bunch of wasted mass or unnecessary parts.

It does add somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.5” on the rimfire rifle and like 7/8” to the rimfire Glock in comparison to direct thread with the DA Mask. No biggie, since the Mask is pretty short and light anyway.

The Odessa is 1/4” longer on the Glock and an inch longer on the rimfire rifle, in comparison to direct thread. Obviously length is a fluid topic with the Odessa.

I’m not sure what effect on FRP it has; I keep the insides of both slathered in light oil all the time, and with the 9mm I always wear ears. I would assume it would have an effect.

I really like the convenience and security of cam-lok on pistols but it solved a real problem for me on a suppressed lever 22. I previously used a 3 lug with a griffin optimus micro which worked ok, but this is much better. Just a slight twist and its off but its also very secure. F8086DA3-EC94-4EE7-B865-64B2CB410AA4.jpeg.

Camlok changed my opinion of having a pistol can. It just works. Fantastic innovation.

Tell me any downsides to the 22 system? I have the pistol version, and I have already decided I wish it was usable with fixed barrels like an AR9. The .22 sounds like it might be awesome, but just finding it

Other than the length, I’d have to think pretty hard about any downsides to find one. But, I have not had it for very long, either, so maybe something will come up. One thing is for sure: competition is scarce.

Ideally, I’d just get like 1-3 more rimfire cans, but reality is what it is.
