I can tell you from experience that those gas blocks are in no danger of coming loose from a little light rust or oil.

BCM puts ‘em on child-proof. You don’t wanna go trying to take ‘em off unless you really need to.

How about keeping them inside silicone socks?
I keep my guns in them, but they are never for long time storage as I shoot my guns regularly and clean them after.

I’ve been using them for about 20 years

Kroil and a toothbrush. Then spray with Hornaday One Shot or wipe down with ballistol. I would not use any sort of gun sock, unless it’s VCI impregnated.
