One off parts machine shop? Who do I call?

I have two custom hand made parts I need replicated with a harder steel. One is really simple the other is complicated and a few local shops in my small town already turned me away.

    Anyone know someone?

Instead of having the parts made from a harder steel, have you considered having the parts you already have heat treated/hardened instead?

No one is a injected molded, junk. The other is a mix of aluminum and epoxy that I cut and shaped with a file. There both too week.

Also the parts are for an fmg 9 I'm trying to complete.

I interviewed at this place 15+ years ago and during the tour they mentioned being able to scan an item and then replicate it so I would assume huge technical leaps since then.

No idea on the if they will question or how much.

I'm a machinist and am curious about the parts you need made. I may be able to help you with both parts, depending on how complicated one of them is. I work at a small CNC shop and could possibly work on a "personal" project off the clock.

I also have a friend with his own shop that may be able to do the more complicated part.

I may be able to provide the material for the parts from left over "drops" of various alloys we have on hand. Any idea what type of steel you want? Post or PM me some pics and more details if you're interested.
