Canada leaning towards SIG P320 for it's new military handgun

The new handgun is to be designated the C22 and replaces their worn-out Browning Hi-Powers. Doesn't look like a done deal yet, though. IIRC, Canada wanted the gun manufactured there, so that may have changed?

"The new weapon is being called the C22 Modular Pistol. It will be in 9mm, but the Canadian Forces has also asked for kits to convert the handgun into .40 calibre."

They're also getting a new camo pattern:

I always wanted one of those tri rails to add on a BCM middy. That new pattern does appear to be more effective. And why would they want a dang .40?

It could also be the Beretta APX. It has almost the same specs.

I don't know. The USMC seems to be doing pretty well with separate Woodland and Desert patterns.

Talk to BCM. They USED to make 'em for their C8 SFW uppers, but discontinued 'em. If you'd like, I can refer you to the Airsoft knockoff I had to use for ours... my gunsmith inspected the part before I mounted it and wouldn't believe it was Airsoft until I showed him the paperwork.

I was in when we changed over. The joke was though that Marines basically ripped off the Canadians. They took there digi pattern and tweaked a few things and called it Marpat like they invented it. Don’t even get me started on all the EGA’s they threw in the pattern so other branch’s couldn’t use it. We all knew we were Marines and cool. Forever all the branch’s had shared cammo but the Marines set off 20 years of every branch trying to come up with the latest and greatest and waste how much money?

Cadpat and the US Army grandmas couch pattern have more in common. They both use poor color choice and don’t blend in with anything. Sure the USMC copied the digital pattern but they got the colors right and made it actually work.
