You can get civilian Arc'teryx stuff on pro deal here if you qualify: https://outdoorprolink.com/signup

For LEAF products, getting a pro account through distributors like https://www.us-elitegear.com/ or https://www.tacticaldistributors.com/ is the way to go; it ends up being basically the same price as purchasing LEAF directly with a personal pro account. The best way to get LEAF gear is to just wait for their semi-annual sales, though, and snag it then.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

I think it's on par with Beyond, the better North Face stuff, etc. I have a few of their outerwear stuff and used some of the LEAF gear. It's solid.

But most people won't take advantage of the performance capabilities of what it's designed for. In spite of wearing dead bird stuff, now I am in that category.

You can get it cheaper on ebay, REI's Outlet and Used Gear sections online, some other places.

    Whats that all about?
Listing pronouns is a way to advertise your wokeness and moral superiority.

I’m not buying the mistake excuse, I think they are trying to have it both ways.

Here's the reply from Arcteryx listed in the linked article:

“The email screenshot expressing a restrictive policy on corporate sales to tactical industry business was sent out in error. It does not reflect our current policy. The customer has been notified, apologized to, and been put in touch with a representative from the Arc’teryx LEAF business unit”.

When I read that response the sentence "It does not reflect our current policy." puzzles me. Why not just say "It does not reflect our policy."? With the word "current" in there it makes me wonder if it was their policy for some time period, but it is no longer their policy.

Nor does it say that the stupid twat was dismissed from their employ. Which would have been the first line if she had refused an order from antifa.

    Clown world.
Georgia, Ukraine, Yemen, Afghanistan - soon to be Taiwan - the USA is getting rolled up everywhere. It’s not a First World country, it doesn’t have a First World population.

You need specific population traits to rule the world - the US doesn’t have them.”

I don't care if they are anti gun or pro gun or neutral, I don't have a single piece of their product because I see no reason to pay $1000 for a jacket. I can buy stuff to keep me warm from Kohl's, Cabelas, Bass Pro, Academy Sports at 1/10 of that price and feel as comfortable, warm and dry. And I have. BTW, I don't own any North Face stuff either for the same reason. I don't need the name brand.

On the other hand, I spend my money on watches ...

I think if one is planning an Everest expedition or serious outdoor activities long term, Arc'teryx is certainly a brand they should look at along with Patagonia and other high end products. However, for normal day to day wear, you are right that there's very little that they offer that can't be replicated far cheaper than "lower" tier brands. Basically, Arc'teryx is the 5.11 to the Bass Pro "Wrangler" cargo pants.

Speaking of watches (sorry for the thread drift) but that Citizen Super Titanium Armor line is badass. I'm really contemplating one...
