Supposedly the word from Corporate is they've moved such business over to their LEAF (LE/Armed Forces) business unit. I'll believe it when I see more evidence, but Soldier Systems Daily is White Knighting and knobgobbling for them pretty hard.
hahahahaha and the list could go on hahahhaahah

I am wondering if moving them to "LEAF" is a way for them to bow to pressure and keep the business at the same time. Kind of stupid. But they can say -- we don't service those types any more (using some wishy washy words) when pressured, but they can say they do serve the police and armed forces still, and just serve the firearms industry out that same door.

You people need to read the entire article. The headline was misleading intended to cause emotional response. Which it did from several people here that didn't read the article.

It started on the social media twatter, book of face and spread like wildfire before the company came on to explain the situation, by then it was too late.

Riots are like sports, it's better to watch it on TV at home.

If it matters, I have one LEAF product
(Khard 30 pack WHICH ROCKS AND GETS COMPLIMENTS EVERYWHERE I GO) plus several civilian level pieces WHICH ROCK AND GET COMPLIMENTS WHERE THE F*CK EVER I GO.....Arc’Teryx makes serious pro gear for those who choose to spend their their time doing shit to the max, be it skiing, ice climbing or door kicking, or what ever. Hate stupid ignorant millennials all day (I’ll join your anti-millennial love to hate phest) but seriously, the above mentioned buffoonery is par for the course in this modern society. Take it in stride, submit your grievance via HR and gracefully
accept the apologies for what they are worth. Basically, the spesh-ed kids are getting their place in the spot light,...the adults in the room are staying quiet long enough to let the emo kids burn out and STFU. Just let the little ones shriek until they grow hoarse and take their naps. Things will return to center soon enough.

I did read the entire article. As I understand it, somebody who was in no place to speak for the company spoke for the company.

I also understand that in the past the company has done business with firearms related companies and that is why so many are concerned that the gun buying public might crap on them over an misunderstanding and the views of a lone employee.

I guess where I'm at, and the point of my comments, is that Canadian companies seems to view this kind of things as a "default position" where even employees of a given company make mistakes of this kind, the ship is kind of lost and we should probably procure things from more staunchly second amendment companies. Certainly we can find similar gear stateside without indirectly contributing to the economy of Canada.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

Pretty common in all of academia (I am adjunct faculty at a university and we 'have' to have it) and many bigger, woke corporations. You'll see more and more of it.

They make good stuff, and the DOD still has contracts for LEAF.

I am a poor, fixed income retiree, I can't afford Arc’teryx. But really is it that much better than other brands or is it just the cachet.

yes some of their items are insane nice but some is now cheap poor made and not lasting though so top end yes bottom end NO

the one thing that makes them is the fit and cut of their nice stuff is just made to be worn but again other companies can do this also they just use superior build so they last and last

I own some of their stuff and its some of my favs but a huge margin on fit and lasting
that said I also got some great shirts that are quite nice at costco 2 for $12.99 they do not fit as well but maybe $6.50 a shirt who freaking cares ! that is a great deal !

also some cheap costco pants for working in the garden again like $12 I get one season out of them tops
but also own fjallraven that are $100 shorts and so so so so worth it as they outlast my costco stuff every single time and when wearing are superior in fit comfort pocket design and use and can beat the tar out of those for years and my go to

IMHO having a few good pieces is well worth it

I know the article was what it was I commented on the new woke pronoun garbage
also they wont pro deal contractors like some do such as KEEN etc...

edit to say as easy as others
