Excellent old “Flat Latch”, and Karl does very good work.

Grips look like Herrett’s. I went with Tyler T-Grip and OEM Stocks to keep grip as minimalist as possible for concealment.
Appears to be a new Front Sight as well.
That one should be pretty easy to shoot well.

    That's a good weight for a .38 to be!

So why doesn't S&W make a new model 12 2-3 inch with no lock? Oh, I remember. Because S&W is stupid.

    Nope!

The one I recently bought is just over 21 oz loaded with 200 gr bullets. 👍

Steel frame, too. Durable? Highly doubt it but I'm going to find out. No hot loads. The hottest load I'd make for it would be 200 grs at 850 fps but I'm really going to focus on 200 grs in the 750-800 range.

    Hola,
I only have one 6-shot snubby. It is a Taurus 606 with a bobbed hammer (DAO) with a 2" barrel in .38/.357. I am unsure of the weight but it is all steel with a Pachmayr grip. I carried it for more than ten years as either my BUG, off-duty, or as my regular carry when I worked narcs. Great gun, super reliable and more than accurate at the ranges I needed it to be. It has gone into retirement since I picked up a newer Taurus Polymer Protector 605 (5-shot .38/.357), also reliable but lighter.

A buddy has two of those 606's. (Alloy)

We fired one and it worked fine. Trigger was heavy and pretty snappy with warm loads. IIRC it wasn't +P rated. We should take both out and put a couple boxes through each now that you mention it...

Reliable snubbie's are good guns to have around.

Ok I found out...that the new Charter shot low, a little right, and had a couple light strikes. That's 0-2 for Charter Bulldogs so I'm done with them.

    Mod 12-2.
Bobbed Hammer Spur, removed serrations from Trigger for Double Action, Tyler T Grip/OEM Magna Stocks. Double Action Trigger Job.
Run 135 gr. Speer "Short Barrel" ammo.
It's a slick six shot, easily controllable "Pocket Gun".
