    Aguila ammunition theft in Mexico

So if you see ammo being sold at decent prices from the back of a semitrailer, be suspicious

"With over 7 million rounds of live ammunition stolen, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) has opened up an investigation to try and track down the vehicles and trailers. The license plates of all vehicles are known and the Mexican government has requested that images and data of the stolen boxes be disseminated in the hopes of reacquiring the stolen items. As reported by Regeneration the following types and amounts of ammunition were stolen:

4 million 872 thousand high speed .22 caliber Long Rifle (LR) cartridges.
1 million 230 thousand cartridges .22 caliber LR high speed PH
    295 thousand .40 caliber S&W cartridges
215 thousand .22 caliber cartridges LR super hummingbird
117 thousand .45 caliber automatic cartridges
100 thousand cartridges .38 caliber special jacketed
    99,000 M 7 1/2 high speed .410 caliber cartridges
    87 thousand cartridges caliber 7.62 × 51 mm 150 GN
    71 mil 500 caliber .12 minishell post
    25 thousand cartridges caliber .38 super auto + P

If I see anyone selling cheap ammo out of a semi trailer, I will be suspicious of my tires and suspension as I load up my truck...

Crime committed in another country? Not my problem.

I mean, damn they sure wanted all that .22 ammo.... does this constitute 'intent to sell across border in USA"?
Where's a reverse Op Fast & Furious when you need it... OH, those horrid cartel guns and ammo flooding over the border...

If they offered it for sale at the next Crossroads Gun Show at low prices, it would probably be sold out by the end of the day.

According to my calculations, That is something like almost 350 ft.³ of just high speed 22 ammo. That is still only about 1/10 of a tractor trailer load, at least by volume. Could you even fill a semi with ammo without going over weight limits.?
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

You'd have to know how much ammo Aquila puts on a pallet, and I'm guessing the pallets aren't double stacked. Into a (presumably) 53 foot trailer with an internal width of approximately 96 inches.
