The R8 is nice. The R8 (at least originally) was an Audi bodied Lamborghini... A year ago or two I was at the local Audi dealer for service on my A3 e-tron sportback and there was an R8 that pulled into the parking lot where I was sitting. The sound of it was enough to induce physical changes...

I was fortunate to get a ride in an original back in HS / the 80's...it chirped in all 4 gears. The breaking was just as incredible.
Pisses me off these new sparky's are gonna start blowing away big carbon fueled HP...instant torque to all 4 tires is hard to overcome. Without the V8 rumble, the romance is gone for me...gonna just have to hold my nose & deal with it. The fact tesla has a reported 0-60 in under 2sec is mind boggling
