Agree that S&W is probably missing a part of the carry market that wants a light and red dot on their micro-compact carry pistols. Sig and Springfield certainly jumped into that market and eventually Glock as well.

I think the current Shield Plus targets a particular market that may not be the gun enthusiast. They’re still behind the times on the optic-ready model with a Shield RMS cut instead of also making it compatible with Holosun K series.

On a side note, the OR version is still the one I’d get as it comes with the optic cut and nightsights for roughly $50 more.
