    Safariland ranger green?

Does anyone know if Safariland changed their “ranger green” color?

I bought a 6390RDS in ranger, and it’s my first experience with Safari’s RG color.

The color isn’t even close to any of the other ranger green gear I’ve got. (Esstac, Haley, DefMech, Spiritus, Trex, Mayflower, AWS, etc.)

I’m not usually one to be a color matching prima donna, but it’s not even close and looks pretty derpy in my opinion.

Does anyone know if their OD green is closer?

If not I’ll just get black, but I am curious.

Pic is my holster with a bunch of RG gear behind.

I would hazard a guess that you got the OD and not the ranger green.
AQ planned for years and sent their A team to carry out the attacks, and on Flight 93 they were thwarted by a pick-up team made up of United Frequent Fliers. Many people look at 9/11 and wonder how we can stop an enemy like that. I look at FL93 and wonder, "How can we lose?". -- FromMyColdDeadHand

I was thinking that, but I checked the packaging and it says ranger green

There was an add for one on TacSwap that I saw the other day and it was the same green color as yours. It’s listed as RG also

Interesting. Looks more sage/foliage than RG, but I’d take it over his bright grass green.

It’s just frustrating because all the pics online I’ve seen of cordura wrapped RG holsters look like normal RG..

    Very interesting.

I wonder if Safariland is having a hard time sourcing genuine RG cordura due to it’s popularity, and have switched to this recently to meet demand.

There are companies that wrap Safariland holsters after market now and they could do a more accurate RG. You could always do that or rattle-can it if you don’t want to hassle with returning it. That green is bright

It’s very possible. The material seemed to be very hard to come by for all companies since covid

Indeed. I just emailed RDR gear asking about his custom wrapped RG. We’ll see.
