FSP sling mount question. Does anyone make this?

    Stupid question, but here goes..

On a few of my rifles I have the older Colt front sight post sling mounts that mount under the barrel and between the FSP and barrel. They work well and place the front of the sling right where I like it. The only problem I have with them is that they are non QD. It's not a huge deal, but I've come to prefer the QD swivels on my slings and have wondered for a while if anyone made a sling mount like the Colt (picture below) but with the rivetted swivel removed and a QD socked in its place.

Here's the sling mount I currently run.

What I'm looking for lacks the rivetted sling loop, and instead has a QD socket in the center. Picture below is a grade school picture example of what I am describing. I know quite a few people who still run these sling mounts, so I'm surprised a QD version isn't available anywhere.

I know there are similar products on the market by KAC and GGG, but they have the QD socket set above the barrel line and wouldn't work on most of my FSP guns due to light placement, etc.. I also don't like the idea of having the sling mount that high above the guns center line. (Picture of the KAC mount I'm referencing below).

So.. does such a beast exist? If not (and if anyone else would buy them) any companies out there wanna make some for us guys stuck in the past still using FSP guns? Just curious..

Not exactly what you are describing, but what about a UWL sling mount? There's several variations and some have qd sockets.

    What about this?

You can either slip the sling through it or install the quick connect.

Edit: Nocaster beat me to it, I couldn’t remember what they were called…..

    Maybe

Some of the tri-rails have the female QD built in too.

The problem will be getting the QD mount to the area you've indicated:

This is butt-ugly and awkward and Chinese/Airsoft (I'd bet) but it gets a QD there: https://www.combathunting.com/SLINGS...ng_Swivel.html

Of course I'm sure it will interfere with your light.

This is kind of an inelegant solution:

Install one of these on the FSB: https://www.midwestindustriesinc.com...mctar-01g2.htm

    Attach something like this: https://magpul.com/rsa-qd-rail-sling...obal_color=118

And you should have your sling pretty close to where you want it.

Bayonet lug mount - this one would probably lay your sling in a way you wouldn't like: https://www.customdefensiveproducts....duct/BLAM.html

A different take on the bayonet lug adapter, using the Magpul QD from above: https://www.supplyroom.com/us-milita...lack-weap-msbs

    Good luck!

As an alternate option, it's a bit high for what you want and kinda dated but as long as you have an A-frame FSB the old GG&G Sling Thing might be a solution.
