    AR15 Performance flash hider?

I am looking for a lightweight flash hider for a pencil barrel. I found this one from AR15 Performance.

Anyone tried one? How well does it work? What does it weigh?

I have never used one like that one but it looks nice. How about the regular ole Birdcage Flash Hider?

Hope whatever you pick works out good for you.

The A2? It looks rather fat on the end of a 0.50" pencil barrel, and it's not a featherweight. Faxon has one that is half the weight of an A2 but it is $60 and open tine.

Yea... It's a whole 1/8" fatter. No way to win a fashion show.

YHM makes a similar FH, but I am pretty sure you won't find one for less than AR Performance's. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1019946214/

My light-barreled ARs run A2 or YHM Phantom FHs, even the dedicated 22 LR. The look grew on me.

Interesting. How does it "hide" flash compared to the A2?

I have never used one, I just noticed them the other day when I was looking for something else.

A2, man. Don’t reinvent the wheel for aesthetics.

Kind of where I've been at for years. All I need, and nothing more.

Agreed, and if you think it looks stupid with the A2, wait until you see how stupid it looks with something thinner.
    Stick
