Spuhr QDP-4616: 34mm Cantilever Scope Mount? Red dot option?

I have a newly acquired Steiner T5Xi 3-15x50 scope I want to mount to my KAC SR-25. I also want a red dot for close work. Engagement distances are a few feet from the muzzle to 400 yards for most shooting doing feral hog control along with a few predators (dogs stalking/attacking me).

The Spuhr QDP-4616 looks like a really good choice for a scope mount. What I can't seem to find is what is needed to attach a red dot to it. Then there is the issue of which red dot.

Any help and comments on choosing a good red dot and thoughts on the mount options are appreciated.
