When using a 14.5" barrel and pinning and welding a muzzle device to make it non-NFA, you have to subtract 5/8" because of the threaded area of the barrel. If using a crush washer, you pick up about 1/8", so you only end up losing about 1/2". This means that you will need a FH with a minimum length of 2" to meet the 16" non-NFA length.
