Just walk in, sign in and go see your family member. It's not a tactical mission. The residents aren't locked in their room 24/7. They go about their daily life.

Not sure about Florida(where the vaccinated dude caught covid and died), but for most of 2020 nursing homes in Kentucky were effectively closed to visitors based on having a Grandparent living in one and apparently Pennsylvania was operating in a similar manner.

Maybe, I dunno, but people do go in and out of those places. Maintenance, delivery, employees, etc..

The retirement home I do work in as a contractor had a system I didn't think was very robust, but it was apparently successful according to a nurse friend of mine that works there.

Generally visitors had limited points of entry before covid and this was reduced to only one that anyone could walk into. This one was where employees, guests and contractors/vendors check in. They had some screening kiosks that took temps, asked questions and printed out an ID sticker that had your name, picture and building you had permission to enter. Masks required and some social distancing observed.

All other buildings and entrances required a card to access which are rarely issued, and only to contractors on bigger projects. Otherwise you had to escorted in by staff.

They apparently had no infections during the initial lock downs and only during last falls resurgence did they get their first confirmed covid case.

Coworker in his early 50s, who is vaccinated just tested positive for covid and he is sick as a dog.

Riots are like sports, it's better to watch it on TV at home.

This is the second time I have heard an expert say we should not be vaccinating in the middle of a pandemic.

This is the first time...........and it all appears to be coming true right in front of our eyes.

Completely forgot that last summer I worked part time as a pizza delivery guy. One of the biggest customers was a large nursing home located about a mile away. This thing was like an apartment block. We weren't allowed to walk inside the buildings but there was a checkpoint set up where we could drop off the food.
Soo....the food is made in a restaurant with about a dozen employees, all of whom are working in close contact then it's driven in my car where the windows are closed and handed over to an employee of the nursing home who makes the final delivery!!!!!
