Indians upset that a guy wants to build a Teepee Hotel and squealing about Cultural Appropriation.....

Indian guy in the picture they show....Wearing a polo shirt. Did he ride his horse to the interview? Is HE living in a Teepee with no electricity, no running water, gets his medical care from the Medince Man? No? Then STFU.

Because I KNOW who invented electricity, the flush toilet (Thomas Crapper, that always makes me chuckle...)... and penicillin and it wasn't an Indian.

There is no such thing as cultural appropriation in the United States. We are a melting pot of cultures and ideas. We all are a melange of what everybody brought with them. America is the only country in the world like this. Ironically it is the only country in the world where people try to play the cultural appropriation card. Look at all of the different cultural influences on everything from clothing to the food we eat every day all day long.

Some people have too much time to worry about too much shit. Used to be such names were done to recognize and pay tribute to other cultures. This is why the Boy Scouts were named after Scouts. We so respected the skills of native trackers that we adopted the word.

I found myself thinking "thats cool, not too far away, maybe my wife and I will do a weekend getaway"

Then I read the history page "cultural theft" etc etc etc.

I think I will write the Sioux tribal presidents and tell them they better tear down the houses on the rez because they stole the design from my people.
