This forum has gotten awful brave lately with talking shit on men and women that aren’t here to defend themselves, by people that have not done what they did.

He said people wearing camo on ranges "acting tactical" are "the problem." NO THEY ARE NOT. They're answering the call of the Second Amendment in its purest form, and doing so publicly so it spreads. They're not the problem, they're the solution.

    No HE Did NOT.

He had a lot more qualifiers.

He did say "people out there wearin' camo" but he added "acting like they're ****in' Operators"

    Two VERY DIFFERENT THINGS.

He also said "it's people like that." but before that he specifically referenced "trying to act like you did and give off this persona because Instagram gives you a platform to be whatever the **** you want to create today."

So that shoe fits ONLY the people that shoe fits.

In fact if you go back and read his comments in their entirety, it is painfully obvious who he is talking about and it's not people who train with firearms or get firearms training.

Furthermore, wasn't it YOU who was trying to impeach the entire "military and law enforcement culture" on Page 1 for ****s sake but when he calls out the wannabe's suddenly it's an attack on ALL freedom loving individuals and gun owners?

You need to take a breath and check your fire.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

Not only that, if we were in person, rather than picking and choosing snipets of a comment, there probably wouldn't be any actual disagreement.

Well if there's a specific person or group of people who are implying they're something they're not, then he needs to name them specifically, because it's not at all obvious to me who he's talking about if that's the case. I know we had some folks in the past in the whole training industry who implied they were former this or that, but I'm not aware of any currently.

The way I understood it, he's calling out anyone who wears gear on the range and trains as wannabe operators acting like they're former military. If he's speaking in general and this isn't some thinly veiled reference to a specific individual who's actually doing something wrong, then he's obviously lumping everyone into that group who does tactical shit at the range.

He's also had plenty of time to clarify what he said. If he was referring to some specific person or group who's actually trying to mislead people into believing they're former basasses then he had the opportunity to come out with it.

Audie. And from what I’ve read his life after WWII wasn’t a bed of roses. Just because someone has the stones to earn the CMOH doesn’t mean their life will be a shining example of the perfect human being.

That's what I took from it. He has a low opinion of clowns LARP'ing it up on the range while the take selfies, or make videos pretending to be something they are not. Calling out people who didn't put their time in the service in is a perfectly legitimate view, sorry if it hurts feelings but a lot of these tacti-cool operator wannabes had the opportunity to sign on the line and go stand on some yellow footprints while getting yelled at by large angry men in funny hats. They chose not to, can't make instagram posts in boot camp.... Then you see these clown shoes on the range doing their dumb shit in full battle rattle, usually hosing down targets a whopping 7 yards away with a long gun because that is all their "skills" will allow, while taking lots of selfies. Anymore I just leave and come back later so I don't have to deal with that bullshit, as an upshot they leave lots of once fired brass to pick up.

The instagram crowd is just as annoying elsewhere too. For example go to the gym. I'm not the strongest dude in the gym any given day but I still like to train, yet anymore some dimwit in yoga pants will be on some equipment or in the power rack doing some stupid shit taking pictures of how good her ass looks. The other day myself and two other guys were waiting to use the deadlift platform while this silly bitch was "deadlifting" the bar and two 10lb bumper plates, she was so stupid the damn plates weren't even all the way against the collars on the barbell sleeve, or evenly spaced. Not that it matters when you're not doing any real weight, but still. Less photos more lifting you dumb bitch.

Yeah, he suffered from PTSD I believe. He seemed to hold it together publicly I thought, being a movie star and all.

If guys are LARPING and playing dress up, who cares, it's a free country. Even if they're playing tactical Timmy, who cares again. If they are lying about who they are and what they did in their their make believe military life, lying is naughty and should be discouraged. I can tell you right now that I know one fellow on this board who is well known to most and his buddies have donned much gear and run many drills, I've seen it personally. They don't claim to be operators, as far as I know. I just look at it as they are tactical preppers. OK by me.

So why is Dakota so worked up that he goes into a profanity laced rant about...who exactly?? Posers?? Again, who cares?
