Question Correct issue sling for A2 ..?

I have an A2 clone but no sling for it.

IIRC we had black nylon slings circa 2002-2006 when I was in, but I can’t recall the features anymore.

Anyone know which sling is correct (and where they might be located for retail sale)?

Thanks in advance for any info …

I think CDNN Sports used to have a GI-style web sling. Failing that... well, the equipment authorized for Marine Annual Rifle Training goes out UNCLAS every year, so you could paw back through the archives of old MARADMINs trying to find one from before they switched to the Vickers. (I started out with those looking for specs to build and outfit my M4, but I'm starting to consider expanding it further back into an "Evolution of the M4 and M16 in USMC Service" project.

Here's the one I mentioned at CDNN. Not sure if it works, but it's marketed as "GI silent web sling" other than that their Web guy needs spelling lessons.

The AR-15 slings I've used are a little bit longer than a M1 Garand sling.

I suggest buying a sling with a metal hook that easily detaches from the rear sling swivel to make it easier to transition to a deliberate sling.

The nylon sling is a bit slippery. I suggest a cotton sling.
