Not my normal, daily ccw but on occasion I’ll use a Milt Sparks SS2, Hanks Gunner Belt, and carry my Springfield Mil Spec. It’s more of a woods/hunting setup for me. Works well.

I just picked up my first 1911, a 5" Government size. Then bought a Blade Tech Total Eclipse Kydex holster, and EDC belt. Just put it on with my work shirt pulled out, and it was invisible while standing.
My question is, how do you keep the extended beavertail from digger into your gut while sitting?
You buy a gym membership and eat meat and veg
When you're done saying what you're saying, stop saying it.
Actually I don't intend to EDC the 1911, I have a Shield Plus for that.
I wanted a holster for the pistol that I could carry if I want.
It was surprisingly comfortable, and the weight is not noticeable.
Just that beavertail is pretty sharp.
As far as the beavertail digging in you could have two problems. First as mentioned maybe the fat roll is just too big.
I'm not exactly thin and this isn't a problem for me. So the other problem could just be bad holster design. On my VMII the sweat guard keeps the safety/hammer from digging in (and getting all sweaty) and also the holster just seems to be designed to alleviate the BT problem by holding the gun at the correct angle. Also if you carry at about 3:30 this will minimize the problem (for a right handed guy).
Because I'm not exactly thin appendix carry is out for me.
One other thought. If you are carrying at 2:00-3:30 get a straight drop. Past 4:00 or so, the 15 degree "FBI" cant is bearable or even better.
A canted 1911 holster at 3:00 results in my hand hitting the grip at the wrong angle.

5'8" tall, 190, so not thin [36 waist]
I appendix with the Tenicor, no digging in my abdomen at all.
My EDC (off-duty) is a SA TRP in a Milt Sparks VM2 on a Wilderness 5-stitch, with a Sparks 2-mag carrier. In cooler weather it's in a Sparks 55BN or a Rybka Rhodesian on a Sparks belt.
