I contacted The Day newspaper that ran the story and asked if they followed up with the story. Their response “Montville police are refusing to release the body cam footage and are not cooperating with any requests for information.”

They are completely trying to sweep this under the rug because they obviously are hiding something. Wonder what that is?

This has been covered ad nauseum. I'm not sure what caused his discharge, but his pistol is holstered correctly, and the ALS hood is secured correctly. The original posting about this picture was done by SIG, and they jumped the gun because whoever looked at this picture is completely unfamiliar with duty gear and it function. No one bothered to look at this forensically, and leaped before they looked.

In short, the item the arrow is pointing to is the grey strap on a tourniquet which is in a holder mounted on the front of his holster. This is/was their issued duty holster and gear. Go back and read this whole thread and look at the images. Don't just read the post line and jump in and comment. It gives the appearance your just trying to stir the pot some more.
