16” mid length with fixed stock

I finished putting this one together a few months back, but I have yet to really get it warm.
My goal was to assemble a simple rifle mostly from parts I already had. It’s purpose is to take out on the tractor, and to keep stashed near the rear door of our home. But being it hasn’t proven itself just yet, it only hangs out in the safe. Hopefully I can put a couple hundred rounds on it very soon.

Nice! Going to be using varmint rounds like V-MAX? The tractor makes me think of getting rid of critters when you can.

Thanks. I have some 60gr Nosler Ballistic Tips, and Hornady 55gr soft points. I’ve taken hogs on my front lawn with the 60’s, but never got around to loading up the 55gr soft points.
Honestly though, I’ve yet to really “need” a rifle while felling trees, but I sure like having one with me. Now the cotton mouths and my single six is a completely different story lol.

I like the configuration. A good, solid basic carbine.

Looks good, and welcome to M4C.

If I were to make one suggestion it would be to add a weapon light.

Thanks, and point taken. After I give it a good test run I might throw a TLR-1 on it.

Very nice. I like builds more than factory assembled rifles.
