    Charles Daly 1911 (Field Grade)

Looks like these are now made in Italy instead of the Philippines (?) previously. Doesn't seem like a bad deal for a target/plinker 1911 with a Parkerized finish.:

I clicked on the link. Charles Daly is offering three levels -- G.I. Field Grade, Superior Grade, and Empire Grade. Other than the markings, the Empire Grade looks very much like a Valtro.

    Hi,
The forged frame is a good thing.

Don't know how available these are, in the present. FUBAR, with Xiden and the Uni-Party???

Good review. Just wish the "Charles Daly" markings were BIGGER.

Haven't done a lot of searching, but Bud's currently has them for $442 (or $455 layaway).
