Is there a bigger POS than Richard Blumenthall?

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) attended the Connecticut People’s World Committee Amistad Awards. CPWC is a Communist Party affiliate political advocacy organization. They were celebrating the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party USA and giving awards to three winners of the Amistad award.
The hosts invited people to join the Communist Party.
“We invite you to join the Communist Party in this epic time as we make good trouble to uproot systemic racism, retool the war economy, tax the rich, address climate change, secure voting rights and create a new socialist system that puts people, peace and planet before profits,” emcee Ben McManus told the audience during the event.
Blumenthal was introduced as a “special guest” by Communist Party member Lisa Bergmann. He said he was “very excited and honored” to be with them and to “share this remarkable occasion” (the founding of the Communist Party in the country).
He said their agenda required them all to “work together” to get Democrats into office to make sure that they have an “equitable, just America.”
“I’m here to honor the great tradition of activism and standing up for individual workers that is represented by the three honorees here,” Blumenthal said.
The senator also touted President Biden’s Build Back Better plan in his brief remarks.
“There’s a lot to be working for in economic justice, in racial equity, in establishing a $15 minimum wage and holding corporations accountable for the basic treatment of the American people. We need to look at our entire tax system, beginning with Build Back Better,” he said.
Blumenthal also railed against the filibuster, which he said “has been misused by Republicans again and again and again.”
Then he thanked the communists for fighting for that and their “help and support over many, many years.”

And then there's the totally fabricated story about his service in Viet Nam.

    Sen. McCarthy was right?
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

He may not be the biggest, but he's definitely on the leader board.

Lots of them, for starters the people who believe all that shit but won't openly acknowledge it.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

What does that article have to do with Sidney Blumenthal? Am I missing something?

He was a piece of shit AG in Connecticut, and an even bigger piece of shit senator. The sad part is that a good number of people in CT absolutely love him. When he was running for senator, he of course changed the story of his military service and claimed he never said he was in combat, then eventually was forced to admit that he lied about being a combat vet. Of course, he did what all Democrats did until Trump came along: Blamed Bush. Apparently, the fact that W went into the Air National Guard during Vietnam was the same thing, if not worse, than lying about combat service, so get mad at him damn it!
