BTW, one guy said something about a narrow diameter so he could use standard iron sights on a pistol. I appreciate that but I do not share that concern That is what suppressor height sights and optics are for. I actually generally prefer larger diameter and shorter OAL.

I compared it to my Rugged Oculus at a jail visit, and the diameter is pretty much the same.

I love my Rugged Obsidian 9. I switch between short and long configuration way more than I thought I would.

I use the Octane 45HD with 45ACP and 9mm. It allows me to switch back and forth on my pistols and has a direct thread adapter for rifle use.

The best part is their service. I had a baffle strike that was entirely my fault, sent it in to them and they replaced / repaired everything damaged at no cost and returned to me within one week. I expected to have to pay them for this service and was shocked to get it back without a bill.

Here is a video of me sighting in my UMP at various distances in the back yard. You can hear the horribly tactile and loud trigger reset of the UMP in the video pretty clearly.

I am fairly ignorant about suppressors compared to many of y'all. I would appreciate your thoughts.

I am looking for a 9mm suppressor with the following qualities...

Full auto rated (I own a 9mm SMG).

Able to be direct thread 1/2x28 (required) mounted or a QD option (would be nice option) such as but not limited to a tri-lug or bi-lug.

Able to be used with a pistol having a tilting barrel such as a glock or with a fixed barrel such as most SMG's and PCC's.

Would be nice but not required that it could be used with .300 blk at least sub-sonic anyways.

I believe that the omega 9k by silencerco meets most if not all of these requirements. Are there other options? Any reason I should not buy an Omega 9k.

I would look hard at the yhm r9. I plan on getting one soon.

My griffin rev9 is awesome for a pistol can, but not the best for a machinegun.

I have the Osprey 45K and it works good with .45, great with 9 and pretty good with .300 subsonic. You are correct about the sights issue, easy to index this one.

Griffin Optimus is a fantastic option.

Please elaborate. I’m considering one for a PCC, with the idea that it would fit under a handguard, and I would expect that the all-steel construction would stand up to being bumped against doors and barriers and such. I was thinking Bushwhacker, but I suspect that the Optimus would sound better and have better handguard selection.
