I agree. This is what has killed conservatism: Leaving each other behind, answering encroaching leftism by surrendering and retreating, declaring "lost cause".

It kills me when people's purism ends with them allowing the perfect to be the enemy of the good (or the 'not as bad', as would be the case with politicians). California has too many would-be conservatives and independent types to "write it off," and that would be an enormous strategic mistake.

While it may seem that the enemy has infinite resources at times, they do not, and we must force them to continue to expend a portion of their resources to defend territory they more or less already control. If you do not do that, those resources will quickly end up being used against areas that are more or less under sane leadership.

Didn't help that you had national conservative media who preferred seeing a "filthy prole Not Of Correct Pedigree" LOSE than conservative principles WIN.

You really have to ask why Conservatives have guns? Because Liberals block freeways, burn cities, throw Molotov cocktails, loot, turn over cop cars, and think this behavior is Socially Acceptable.

As California goes so goes the country, do you really think the powers that be will ever allow another free and fair election ?
If you honestly answer yes to that one you are the problem !

This. Because they had a lock on California in 2020, they were able to send groups from California to other states to interfere with people at polling places and convince judges that they did not want to touch any cases that might involve election irregularities.

This point brings to mind an important question: How much does it cost them to prop up the facade?

If you spend money to campaign in an area and they do not, but they retain control in that area anyway, then your money was indeed wasted.
Analysis could be improved to determine whether they neglected spending money in that locale because they have the ability to steer the result.

If they have to spend more money than you did in order to protect a region from being flipped, then your money was not wasted, even if they maintain a hold on that area. This assumes your resources are on par.

California is really 2 states…….the coast, to include the major cities, Hollywierd and Silicon Valley. The other California is the interior, the Central Valley, the Desert and Sierra Nevada mountains. The coast has control of all of the money and there fore all of the power. I am sure many in the interior of California do not feel represented at all and therefore don’t have much hope. Victor Davis Hanson explains this “2 California” system very well.
As far as “writing California off”, I am with others in that that would be a big mistake. Things are bad there and probably going to get worse. I really want to be believe this situation will be self correcting. People need to see things as they are for themselves. If they can’t, then maybe those people can be written off. There are going to be some tough answers for California in the future. I doubt it can be fixed in the near term, undoing decades of ideology and going in the wrong direction will take twice as long.

Well when Californians return to reality, perhaps we can work with them.
I'm pretty sure sending billions to bail them out of wildfires isn't getting us anywhere when we don't demand they manage their forrests in a responcable way.
I honestly question if the money we send out there isn't going in to someone's pockets.
They mismanage everything from their Water to their Highways and the Feds subsidize this stupidity by giving them more Federal Funds.
At what point do we go in there and audit them?"

Did I/we/conservatives gain anything by me remaining in my bluehell State that makes up for the loss my kids suffered by not seeing the inside of a classroom for two years?

Everyone should decide for themselves if staying or moving is best for them. No judgment either way from me.

The problem is not people leaving or staying. The problem is those in free states refusing to help conservatives in blue states. The answer often seems "move or quit bitching." We can't have that attitude. If a conservative feels that moving is what works best for them, that's understandable. But when conservatives can't move, or are determined to stay and fight, and others won't support them, that's where the problem lies.

So, Ive seen that answer a few times. Could you or any of those who've said the same thing, give me...living in TN, examples of how I can "support" conservatives living in CA...other than against my will every time I get paid.
If I lived behind enemy lines on my own free will, I personally would not expect "help & support" from anyone. Id make it a daily priority to be moving somewhere asap.
Ive read all the opinions here, which is exactly what I asked for.
After this fiasco Tuesday...I now know California is gone, most likely forever, that the VAST majority of people there love the slime, filth, degredation, crime, homelessness, illegals, riots, and all the other mis-managed crap Cali is known for. Were I there...Id see this as a sign that no amount of "help & support" from ANYONE is gonna change that, and it would further embolden me to GET THE HELL ..literally...OUT.
