Call me crazy, but it's not that bad - just gaudy. Plenty of re-barreled S&Ws out there, installing Python barrels was the shiznet once upon a time. If it's new enough that it came D&T, it can be put back to a much more tasteful configuration.

If the "smith" D&T'ed an older frame, a pox on them and the owner.
