    Yup.

The Gnostics are trying to paint Neo as the good guy, as the Christ figure, when in reality he is portraying the antichrist. The rebellion against God. Interesting to be sure.

They like to say that Lucifer is the "light bringer," the bringer of knowledge. The one who "freed" man from God's prison in the material universe. Prometheus, who dared steal fire from the gods and bring it to man. Of course, their actions betray that they're anything but the good guys.

Matrix 2 was so bad I didn't even bother with 3. The original Matrix was ground breaking as far as ideas, but the film wasn't a masterpiece or anything. Blade Runner was a masterpiece.

Very well put and I completely agree. Numbers 2 and 3 really didn’t do it for me like the first, although they were somewhat entertaining. They lost sight of the first one- originally they were fighting the machines to free humanity that was enslaved as human batteries. By the 3rd they were just fighting to save the human colony hidden underground.

    Quoted for truth.

1 was a groundbreaking film - 2 and 3 were just riding on the coattails. Hopefully this trends back toward number 1.

The green hue from the previous 3 movies is gone in this one.

Fixed it for ya. Again, really don't get why people hate on the 2 and 3, they were perfectly good movies, a notch above most SF, even of they didn't match #1.

Exactly, they were losing and losing badly until he went and made a deal with the headshed and sacrificed himself, and what was left of humanity allowed to live. They were not able to fight the machines to stop the human battery thing (which would never work, but I overlooked that aspect) as they ended up fighting a defensive battle for the final stronghold of the non enslaved humans, and the battle scene alone was worth the movie to me. This was balls:
