That one does seem like it would work. I should call them to see if their clamping gas block is compatible.

I've used the SLR 308 rails with SLR Sentry-7 clamp-on gas blocks (0.750" gas block journal), no problem, on several builds. don't know if it will fit the Sentry-8 (0.875") or Sentry-9 (0.936") clamp-ons, though.

I would buy one of LMT's new lightweight MWS barrels to replace my medium weight MWS barrel. Otherwise its the perfect (for me and my needs) 7.62.

ETA: I would also CONSIDER replacing the MWS 1913 chassis with a MWS MLOK chassis to shave a few ounces, but I'm not sure that's a good trade as I don't really like the MLOK attachment system.

What kind of accuracy are you getting from the Criterion?

Prototype AR10 model for the Dutch Marines, 1959. Called a mariners rifle. Today the shields and bipod would be aluminum rather than heavy steel. The one below is a parts gun built on a Specialty Arms semi-auto lower receiver.
