Never in 10 years of carrying a CZ 75 compact.

I don't think I ever had it happen with the three SIG 226's I was issued nor my personally owned 228, 229, and 239. It hasn't happened with my Gen 5 Glock 19 nor a Gen 1 S&W Shield carried as a BUG.

It did occur with a Glock 27 with an extended magazine release carried in a vest holster. There were no issues when the extended mag release was replaced with the standard.

It consistently happened with my former agency's FNS-9's. The pistol came standard with an ambidextrous high profile magazine release. After losing a magazine, I had an armorer replace the magazine release with a low profile one as was standard on the FNS-9 Compact. While this made ejecting the magazine somewhat challenging, better that than a one-shot pistol. While I think FN America made significant improvements with the FN-509, I believe they still have high profile magazine releases. I think the problem could be largely mitigated (at least for uniform officers) if a high profile release was on the interior side of the holstered pistol with a low profile on the exterior. Our accidental releases seemed to occur when an officer was in close proximity to a wall or center console.

I had one holster that liked to pop mags, I shitcanned it immediately. Was always related to the seat belt.

Since then the only issue I have had is on the rare occasion I carry a 1911 a LOT of holster don't prevent the safety from moving. I went through probably three and would listen to the seatbelt lock and unlock the safety everytime I took it off or put it on. I really don't carry 1911s in kydex holsters any more.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

I don't know that it's happened to me, but I'm a bit obsessive about checking the butt of the gun as I leave the car or house - just a quick finger swipe to ensure I don't feel a gap between the magwell and mag base plate.

But I agree, if it's a thing, you need a better holster. Or a different pistol position?
