Converting Glock magazines from 10 rounds to high capacity?

Simple question: How do I convert a Glock OEM 10 round magazine to high capacity? ...and conversely, convert a high capacity magazine into 10 rounds (other than only put 10 rounds in it)?

I wouldn't bother with converting 10 round magazines to higher capacity. I would sell them to people in states with magazine capacity restrictions.

If your state laws prohibit magazines that hold more than 10 rounds, I would not convert them nor buy higher capacity magazines.

I just looked this up last night as I just bought a G20 with 10 round mags. It was easier for me to order some 15 rounders then convert the 10 rounders. Keep them for range use.

    You can't.

I've got a couple 10 rounders, they have ridges in the side of the mag body (the metal lining) that serve to narrow the inside. No way to press those flat.

I just use 'em for training mags.

ETA: it is possible to increase capacity by one round, by putting an extended base plate on. Did that with a G19 10 rounder, ran fine.

Did it with a cheap Scherer I had on hand...would never waste a good factory +2 on a crap mag.

I put a plus 2 extender on a 10 round 10mm Model 20 magazine that someone had given me. It now holds 12 rounds. Also had a friend dremel the ridges in a 10 round G17 magazine. It was very time consuming but can be done. It now holds 17 rounds.

Yeah.. too much trouble. I don't like the mag extenders... I've never trusted the change in mag spring tension.

    Buy standard capacity mags.
