I actually love the traditional grip panels, only thing that would have made it better was a lanyard loop.

Not unlike every other manufacturer in this industry some less than perfect examples get out. Unlike some, Springfield will make it right given the chance.

I've owned quite a few Browning, FN and FEG Hi Powers over the years. I had an Israel Arms and a FN police trade in that wouldn't extract because there was so much carbon caked around the extractor spring. After cleaning the extractor channel out in the slide they worked fine. But the photo above does seem to say he cleaned the extractor channel before getting to 2000. Maybe the spring crapped out too. So at first I was worried that an outfit selling springs and other "fixes" might not be completely objective in their review, but the serration marks on the extractor itself definitely looks troublesome.
