    Congrats.
I was looking at several offerings in the price range. I had some time on a 7-35 and a 3.6-18 before and they were great. Also looked at the NX8 real hard. But truthfully what sold me on the Leupold was the aesthetics of it. It's just a sexy scope. Hahaha.

Got the rifle out to the range yesterday with some Federal Gold Medal Match 168 grain. Started off shooting okay but I had vertical spreading that I just couldnt figure out. Shots felt good. Here are a couple groups that show what Im talking about.

After burning through a box of ammo I had a "hey idiot" moment and realized I needed to use a more refined point of aim. I ran out of my older target that has a very small x in the bullseye so I picked up this target on the way to the range. Once I started using a better aiming point the rifle started printing sub half MOA groups like it should.

Overall I am really pleased with this rifle. It is quickly becoming my favorite rifle, even over my AI. Though I must say the extra weight of the AI does make it significantly easier to shoot groups with.

Great shooting! I see the same type of groups with my APR Maverick in 6.5PRC. right now I have APR assembling a rifle for me. I sent them a Defiance Ruckus XM action with a Proof barrel, Trigger Tech Special trigger, APA Little Bastard brake and Hawkins DBM bottom metal. They are ordering a AG Composites Alpine Hunter stock and then will do the final completion of it all. Gonna be about 8-10 weeks until the stock comes in. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Took the APR with the 168 SMK FGMM out to the long range yesterday. I didn't put a whole lot of rounds down range as it was more of a trip to take my buddy out after his mom passed away. Though I gotta say the 168 SMK did great at range contrary to what Ive been told for the last 20 years. First round hits on steel at 640 and 780 yards. The silhouette at 1040 yards took two rounds to dope the wind because it was blowing the other way than the closer targets. After I went 2/3 on it with the missed round traveling just under the target. Even played around with the barricade props they use for PRS/NRL matches. Also used the Razor spotting scope for the first time and it was great.
