Walther should have called it the Concealed Carry Compact Pistol: CCCP.

Well, I guess upgrading to a machined slide instead of the previous MIM slide of the Umarex made CCP is an improvement…

Walther has reissued some first generation P99 pistols. I have a friend that used one in several gun fights outside the USA.
He just bought 2 of these pistols serial number 006 and 007.
Any more info on the P99 Gen 1 reissues? First I have heard of this.
Walther consistently generates interesting handguns. Yet I never actually buy them.
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”

I had a 2nd model CCP for a few months and fairly neat, but wouldn't really do anything a G43 can do in a smaller package with a wider range of holsters available. Recoil to me was similar to other 9×19 of similar size and weight.
Chambering a round was quirky in that most of the slide travel was very light, but it stacked just at the point where it could strip a cartridge from the magazine and sometimes I wouldn't get it there due to the feel. That would be a non-issue with enough practice or as a 1st/only pistol, but it was odd vs. anything else I have used.
My main reason for trading it was the current state of ammo and powder coated lead bullets did not play well with the gas system which is not a strike against the pistol at all since it would go through jacketed ammo all day long.
