Which upper and lower recieviers are Type III anodized?

Just curious if anyone knows which manufacturers do Mil-Spec Type III anodization to their upper and lower receivers.

The only ones that I will say for sure are Colt, FN, LMT & POF. I am not so sure about some of the others.

    Grant,

Thanks for the info, I was thinking there would be more companies listed.

Is it safe to assume the most of the other companies not listed use Type II?

The first two companies are no brainer. I have asked LMT and POF specifically about it and they said yes. I have not asked any other company so I couldn't (and didn't) say for certain.

IIRC, Daniel Defense uses a Type III Hard Anodizing on their uppers.

I think its the N.A. sealer that is all too often skipped.

    Yojimbo,

Add the "Stealth" to your list, it's harder than Kelsey's nuts with a bore that's slicker than greased owl sh*t.

    I believe it's nickel acetate.

I can only speak for Vltor/Abrams Airborne.

We do inhouse anodizing, which includes Type I, II and III. ALL aluminum Vltor products are done in Type III.
