Look at pictures of the Warcomp next to the 3P flash hider, and you'll see the 3P has "rings" that help seal off the mating surface between the muzzle device and suppressor. The Warcomp has vents in the same area that shoot carbon into the mating area, causing it to foul relatively quickly. Links below:

I never thought of that. Problem is most all of my rifles already have Warcomps on them so not putting one on this rifle wont save me much grief. Thanks for measuring...Maybe I should just go with the 14.5 barrel. Options would be much greater too...

I just went through this with a 13.7 build and echo what opngrnd is saying. I don't think a 13.5 handguard is going to give you the clearance you need especially when mounting a can. I used a 13" CMT rail and it came up just shy of the base on my NOX. Enough room for a can without having to tuck it into the rail. And that was with needing to use a few shims to get the NOX timed correctly.

I don't believe so and plus I don't like that look. I like the can to be as close to flush as possible without being inside.

At this point I'm thinking a 14.5 makes the most sense. That is 1" past the handguard. Does that account for threaded area or no?

BA also has a 13.9 Hanson, Rosco makes a 13.7 Purebred, both make great barrels.

You have to account for threads yourself. Assuming the barrel and handguard are precisely as advertised, you’ll get a a tenth or two of clearance to the thread shoulder with a 14.5”. In fact, that rail is made for a 14.5” gun.

    That's good news!

Just an accurate blaster really. Mainly steel at 50-100.

Yea the Criterion CORE is high up on my list but I'm trying to see if there are better options.
