I am surprised that the armchair quarterbacks are not jumping in. Bemoaning how the porting will steal night vision, makes things too loud, or it will blow debris in your face if you have to hip shoot the gun.

None of which is true. Awesome setup, I may have to mod up my p365xl

Ron3....I didn't like the Hellcat either. I sold it and now I've got a Shield Plus and a G43x....love them both. They have similar capacity, conceal almost as well and are much more comfortable to shoot IMHO.

Sell the hellcat and put that money towards a slide mill for the Shield. Put the optic on the gun you shoot well. You're overthinking this

What is it that you like about the Hellcat that you don't like about other compact 9mm pistols?

How many guys you suppose we have here that even know how to load for a compensated gun?

Or know WHY they should want to load for their compensated gun vs just buying factory ammo that was designed from the get go to be 'economical' as far as powder charges are concerned???

I like the Hellcat for its low bore axis and low RDS when mounted.
It's been very reliable with various JHP's.
The manual safety is easier to use reliably than many other small pistols. (Should I choose to use it)
Sights are good and can be seen through an RDS
Mags seat easily on a closed slide when full.

You might be right. If I was doing that I'd probably get an M&P subcompact.

    I shall bite.

How is it not going to direct more muzzle blast to the shooters face if fired below said face?

Are you saying you have no experience with a compensated pistol, and don't trust the opinions of those who use them regularly? You should try one out, either a friend's or a rental. A lot of the urban legend and myths about them simply aren't true. It was something I had to experience in person to appreciate.
