Beretta APX fans?

I prefer an M&P 2.0 over the APX and Glock, and I'm a Beretta fan. I haven't found a poly/striker gun I like more yet.

I haven't fired the "gen 2" APX but I don't see it being superior to an M&P 2.0. I'd certainly choose an APX over a Blick if I had to choose.

Does the APX have a superior optics mount vs the S&W?

Total thread jerk here, but a CZ P-10C at $304 shipped is closer to ghetto blaster priced. Picked one up last week as a house gun (AKA, I’m not buying a bunch of gear for it).

Obviously this is a better package. Dang. Three 21 round mags, optics ready, and threaded barrel? I may have messed up.

The one that’s almost identical in front strap and backstrap angles and curvature to a 1911a1?

The APX does come rather close to non-A1 1911s in backstrap overall angle, but with a slight bend in the middle, and only a few degrees more upright at the frontstrap, which seems to be the direction many people like, and is common to guns that people claim share a 1911 grip angle, usually more severe than the APX. The APX deviates less than most plastic guns, as does the G19.

Not sure. The hump in the 1911a1 was placed to remedy a perceived tendency to point low in the 1911. I don’t know how real that was or what disciplines would have exhibited it. Seems strange given that a generation or less previously, target revolvers had more upright grips than other models.

Wouldn’t be the only time in history that bullshit arose from grip angle and backstrap humps. Since most people seem to prefer the flat mainspring housing, if they even know that the arched 1911a1 housing exists (since the 1920s), must be inconsequential. Or it could be the difference between preference and performance.
