    Vortex Strike Eagle 1x6x24.... Thoughts?

    Hello,

Looking at getting one of these as an intro to the LPVO arena... This is going on an HD and or range gun. I have red dots but I want something for distance up to 300 to 400 yds at the most. I tried a magnifier and really didn't like it. Astigmatism in the eyes cuts down on red dot clarity at distance.

Also Looking at Burris AR536? Just because it has red dot on top..

    Appreciate comments...

You’ll thank yourself later if you can swing up to a Viper 1-6. Glass, illumination, and durability are all lacking on the Strike Eagle.

I like the reticle of the Strike Eagle vs Viper unless the Viper has the same option...

I picked up one of these used here on the EE to try out a LPVO and have been very happy with it. You cannot beat this price.

Switched to a Strike Eagle 1-6 from Kahles k16i. Reticle on strike eagle matched my rifle/ammo much better. It’s my dedicated 2-Gun rifle and it served me well. Wound up getting 4th overall in the Kahles 2-Gun series with the Strike Eagle, not a bad little optic.

I mean yea, at that price it isn't even a thought.

But with that said my Strike Eagle is great. And it is FDE too

The Strike Eagle 1-6 is pretty decent for the money. However the Viper 1-6 is a significant step up in my opinion. Glass quality and 1x performance are much better.

Strike Eagle (1-6 and 1-8) is a decent entry-level sport and light duty LPVO. Good starter or extra-gun option.
