The pistol has hit Smith and Wesson, now for the news and wait.

Got an email from Smith, the pistol is on it's way back. Supposed to be here Monday. They have not told me what they did to it, it'll be a surprise. That's about a 3 week turn around.

Update. Received the pistol back today at 13:45 PST. Has a completely new top end on it. Slide (all parts of the slide), barrel and recoil spring. Nothing looks changed in the frame. 3 week turn around. I'm a happy boy. I would say that Smith's effort was very good and I appreciate that effort very much.
