    REPTILLA 1.92 T2 mount

So this is also in ARFCOM but i want to swap my holosun mounts out to something in the 1.93 size frame, i know most will say Scalarworks leap but i kinda find them ugly. Yes i know it’s a horrible reason to not pick a mount if its the better of the two, and if its that much better i will deal with the looks. In any case, has any one used the REPTILLA 1.93 T2 mount and is there any pros or cons?

I like the Reptilia mounts better than Scalarworks. I’d rather use an Allen or flathead driver than fingertips.

Why? Have you ever used a Scalarworks? The tool less mount is part of what makes them unique. QD serves a purpose. The Reptilia look great but non QD is a non starter.

The Scalarworks design is nice with the tool-less install, but I rarely run red dots on a QD mount. Especially when normal BUIS wont cowitness with a 1.93

I have both mounts and both are great. Being that they are 1.93 high, I personally lean towards the the SW mount. It is pretty quick to get the SW mount off incase I need to go to irons. I will be changing out my Reptilia mount for a SW shortly.

If I were using lower 1/3 or absolute I would be using the Reptilia mount.

Care to elaborate on why you dislike them?

I thought the little screw was a cheesy idea.

It barely gets tight but it always required me to use a pair of pliers to remove.

The thumb wheel? It gets as tight as it needs via your fingers. It doesn't need to be cranked. That's the beauty.

The other great thing about Reptilia mounts, they cost $50 less.

I know IG is full of Scalarworks and their shit is coolio, but Reptilia is great too.
