I am pi$$ed off and don't know what to do about it

I am on record, as saying none of us should buy Holosun due to the whole made in China thing.

Yesterday I was shooting with a guy and he has a Holosun 507 on his Glock. I shot it, my RMR pales next to the 507. 507 glass is a lot crisper, I love the green dot. I love the dot in the big circle and think it is a great tool for teaching new dot shooters.

Last night I watched Aaron at Sage Dynamics beat Holosuns and they kept going.

Why couldn't the factory be in Viet Nam and not China?

But I am going to have to admit here and now, the sight is just so great, that it is no longer going to be the hill on which I will fight my lonely private battle against the Chinese. I was in shock at how much better it was than my RMR.

You forgot to mention that it's 25-30% less than the Trijicon too....They are innovating as well. Take the Vulcan reticle for instance, it's a perfect tool for transitioning from irons to a dot.

Would be glad to buy American, or even socialist Swedish over Chinese, but the features and quality keep pulling me back in. I have 5 of the higher end Holosuns between pistols and rifles, and will likely be picking up one of their new AEMS sights for a newly acquired 11.5" AR.

As a rule, I avoid Chinese products in favor of American as much as possible, even when it requires paying substantially more. However, when it comes to life saving equipment such as firearms and their accessories, I will always buy what gives me the greatest advantage.

Vortex Sparc Solar is along the same lines IMO. Made in China but brings some impressive features to the table at a solid price.

I have to say the green was great to shoot with my eye picked it up very fast also with my RMR red dot I see a little spike protein type thing stick out at 1 o clock. With the green I didn't have that issue

After a competition class (I was using my rmr) I got to shoot another students shadow systems with red 507. Circle dot. I liked neither his gun nor the sight. Reticle seemed fuzzy. I wasn’t ready for the circle dot lol. Gun had a hiccup in the first few rounds.
Could be I’m just learning the dot over the past couple months and don’t know what no don’t know but I’m didn’t dig it and I was glad because I hate the China thing.

I just picked up a 407 recently and even with my slight astigmatism, no glasses, it;s the cleanest dot of any red dot I own. Even cleaner with my glasses on. I wondered whether it being 6.5 MOA had an effect compared to my 3.5 MOA RMR or other 2 MOA dots?

I feel the same way about Holosun as you but relented in the end.

Holosuns parent company is chinese, they have an office in CA to make import easier and so people that don't do research think it is a American business.

I don't give a damn how good people say they are, I can't financially support a country that is not a US Ally.
I make an effort to buy products that support US or our ally's, sometimes you can't get away from Chinese parts but most times you can get at least close with minimal effort.

Also I've seen one RMR fail, the glass piped out as the guy used it as a charging handle.

I've seem at least a dozen holosun and the many brands their parent company named fail.
On the majority if forums you see Chinese optics broke threads, rarely do I see broke RMR threads.

That shake awake gimmick I've seen fail twice, once in a class once at a competition. I just laugh and say to myself, what a great feature that is.

The RMR is still reliability and durability king with a proven track record, no one is disputing that.

The rest of your post have not been anywhere close to my experience using the Holosun products on handguns.
